Onboard Restaurant
How about a three course dinner in the restaurant as you pass through the Rhine...
"The food was very good, in fact dinner was the highlight of the trip - the restaurant really adds value to the service, and my top tip for AutoSlaap travellers would be to book dinner!"

What could be nicer than taking dinner on a train travelling through the countryside with the ever changing views?
'Waiter(ess) service’ is available all the way. A traditional, unhurried experience which is rarely experienced nowadays.
All trains, in both directions, have dedicated restaurant cars offering an impressive à la carte menu ( see specimen menus ) and a tempting wine list.
To further enhance the experience – aperitifs, coffee and later, liqueurs are offered.
"In the restaurant, whoever thought of the 'wine arrangement' deserves a pat on the back. 14.50 euro for a different glass of well-chosen wine with each course, starting with a crisp prosecco and ending in a lovely desert wine. It would have been easy to say merely to sell half or full bottles and leave it at that, but the 'wine arrangement' shows real imagination and we loved it - we went straight for it on the way back too."

Places are naturally restriced with each train carrying over 300 passengers!

“Eating in the restaurant car that evening was an unexpected bonus. For much of the meal we were travelling down the east side of the Rhine and enjoyed some dramatic glimpses of orange-lit castles on distant hills and huge barges looming out of the darkness ploughing south.”
